Slot Machine II
===================================================================
Earlier releases of my version SLOT.EXE/SLOT.BAS were compiled
using either QuickBASIC 4.5 or 3.0. See SLOT2.DOC for details on
these versions.
SLOT.EXE only requires the BRUN30.EXE runtime library included in
the archive. Earlier versions may have required BRUN45.EXE.
<<<[ 07-15-1995 removed from archive ]>>>
Version 3.1 SLOT.BAS. Corrected an error that if you pressed "S"
from the play screen you took a turn on the sound change. You did
not get credited for a win on that turn nor was $0.25 deducted
from your bankroll. This one slipped past me. The option now works
correctly.
Version 4.0, SLOT2.EXE. This is a new version written and compiled
using Borland's Turbo Pascal v7.0. It does not require the use of
any external programs. This is pretty much a new program internally.
See the SLOT2.DOC for details on the program and it's operations.
Has more bells and whistles in the conversion/upgrade!
I have removed BRUN30.EXE and SLOT.EXE from the archive. I removed
these to reduce the size of the archive. Since BRUN30.EXE is 70,680
bytes and a stand-alone version of SLOT.EXE with either QuickBASIC
4.5 or Turbo Basic is at least 60,000 bytes it is wiser to leave the
files out. SLOT.BAS will run just fine in Basic, GWBasic, QBasic,
and any version of QuickBASIC or Turbo Basic.
Version 4.1, SLOT2.EXE. When a user changed the sound state from the
Main Menu the screen display was not updated correctly. On return to
the Main Menu the display would be correct. Fixed it. Sound state
changes from the Main Menu are now correct. I missed this one! It
was nothing critical, but I don't like releasing programs that have
errors.
Added color option to the slot machine. See SLOT2.DOC for details. I
made some changes to the Help Screens. Hopefully clearer. Then can
now be repeated without exiting to the Options Menu.
Version 4.2. Found I had not put a random name #20 in the program.
When picked by the program could create a very long entry of strange
characters. Other internal and external changes to the program.
